Your privacy, our priority.

This policy explains what information Nookado collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Last updated August 2026.

01

Information we collect

We collect information to provide and improve Nookado for you.

  • Personal information: your name, email address, phone number, business name, and billing details when you sign up or subscribe.
  • Business information: your business name, menu or services, hours, address, logo, and photos, the content that powers your website, app, and AI assistant.
  • Conversation data: messages exchanged with your AI assistant (from your customers) are stored so you can review conversation history and so the assistant can improve its answers for your business specifically.
  • Usage information: how you use the platform, features accessed, pages visited, time spent, and interaction data.
  • Device & log information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, and cookies.
02

How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain your website, app, AI assistant, and dashboard.
  • To process payments, manage subscriptions, and send billing-related updates via Stripe.
  • To train your AI assistant on your business's own menu, hours, and FAQs, so it can answer your customers accurately.
  • To provide customer support and respond to requests you send us.
  • To analyze usage trends and improve Nookado for everyone on the platform.
  • To send product updates or occasional promotional communications, you can opt out anytime.
03

How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share information only in these cases:

  • With trusted third-party providers who help us operate Nookado: for example Stripe for payments, our hosting and database provider, and OpenAI for generating AI assistant responses.
  • When required by law or a valid legal process.
  • To protect our rights, property, and safety, or that of our users and others.
04

Tenant isolation

Every business on Nookado has its own isolated data. Your menu, FAQs, bookings, and conversation history are only ever used to power your own website, app, and AI assistant, never shared with or visible to other businesses on the platform.

05

Cookies & tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep the platform working properly (for example, keeping you signed in).
  • Remember your preferences.
  • Analyze site traffic and understand how the platform is used.
06

Data security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections to our database and secure, PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe, to protect your data from unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. That said, no system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

07

Your rights & choices

You have the right to:

  • Access, update, or delete your personal and business information, most of this you can do yourself, anytime, from your own dashboard.
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
  • Request a copy of your data.
08

Data retention

If you cancel your plan, your site and app are deactivated immediately, but we keep your information safe for 60 days in case you want to come back. After that 60-day window, it's permanently deleted. While your account is active, we retain your information for as long as needed to provide the service.

09

Children's privacy

Nookado is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn we've collected such data, we'll delete it promptly.

10

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know by email or through the platform. Continuing to use Nookado after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
